Disney Jollywood Nights brings a glamorous holiday twist to Disney’s Hollywood Studios with exclusive shows, live music, rare characters, special entertainment, festive food and drinks, PhotoPass downloads, and access to popular attractions with potentially lower waits. 🎄✨ This guide breaks down everything included with your ticket, what costs extra, how Jollywood Nights compares to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, and who I think will get the most value from attending, especially adults, couples, character fans, entertainment lovers, and anyone who wants a more sophisticated Disney Christmas night.
If Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is classic Disney Christmas - cookies, snow on Main Street, characters and nostalgic holiday magic, then Disney Jollywood Nights is its glamorous Hollywood cousin.
Think less Christmas morning in matching pajamas and more:
Christmas cocktails, vintage Hollywood glamour, jazz music, sparkly outfits and Disney’s Hollywood Studios after dark.
And honestly? I think that distinction is really important when deciding whether Jollywood Nights belongs in your Walt Disney World vacation.
Disney Jollywood Nights returns to Disney’s Hollywood Studios on select nights from November 7, 2026 through January 5, 2027. The separately ticketed event runs from 7:30 PM to 12:30 AM, but ticket holders can enter Hollywood Studios beginning at 5:30 PM without purchasing a regular park ticket for that day.
Tickets range from $169–$199 USD plus tax, depending on the night, with children ages 3–9 receiving $10 off.
So, yes.
It's another Disney add-on.
And at that price, I don't think you should buy a ticket simply because it's available.
But for the right person? I think Jollywood Nights can be one of the coolest ways to experience Disney World during the holidays.
Here's what's included, what's NOT included and who I think should actually buy a ticket.
🎬 First: What Exactly Is Disney Jollywood Nights?
Jollywood Nights is a five-hour, limited-capacity holiday event held after hours at Disney's Hollywood Studios.
The entire concept combines Christmas with the glitz and glamour of old Hollywood.
There are special shows.
Live music.
Rare characters.
Holiday entertainment.
Exclusive photo opportunities.
Specialty food and cocktails.
And lower waits for some of Hollywood Studios' biggest attractions.
It's still Disney Christmas.
But it feels very different from Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.
And that's exactly why I wouldn't necessarily recommend the same event to everyone.
✨ Your Ticket Gets You Into Hollywood Studios Early
This is one of the first things I'd consider when looking at the price.
The party officially starts at 7:30 PM, but Jollywood Nights guests can enter Disney's Hollywood Studios beginning at 5:30 PM with their event ticket.
You do not need to purchase a regular theme park ticket for that day if you're entering at or after 5:30 PM.
That means you could spend the morning sleeping in.
Have a resort day.
Go to Disney Springs.
Have a nice lunch.
Relax by the pool.
Get ready.
And then head to Hollywood Studios at 5:30.
Personally, if I were buying Jollywood Nights tickets, I would NOT also use a full-day park ticket at Hollywood Studios that day.
I'd make the event my park day.
You're about to be there until 12:30 in the morning.
Save your energy.
🎄 Disney Holidays in Hollywood
This is one of the party-exclusive shows I'd absolutely prioritize.
Disney Holidays in Hollywood is a 30-minute holiday stage show at Theater of the Stars hosted by Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy.
The show combines music, dancing, jazz musicians and Disney characters, with appearances that can include Tiana, Belle, Minnie and Mickey.
And this is where you start to understand the Jollywood vibe.
It's not simply characters wearing Santa hats.
It's meant to feel like a glamorous old-Hollywood holiday variety special.
If you're paying for Jollywood Nights, please don't spend the entire party riding attractions you've already ridden during regular park hours.
Do the exclusive things!
You can ride Tower of Terror on another day.
You cannot normally walk into Hollywood Studios and watch a Christmas variety show hosted by Miss Piggy.
Priorities.
🎃 What's This? Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas Sing-Along
Okay...
If you are someone whose Halloween decorations stay up until it's socially acceptable to replace them with Christmas decorations, this one is for you.
Jollywood Nights includes What's This? Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas Sing-Along at the Hyperion Theater, featuring Jack Skellington and a musical journey through The Nightmare Before Christmas.
And I LOVE that this exists.
It bridges that weird little gap between Halloween and Christmas perfectly.
If Jack Skellington is one of your favourite characters, I'd put this near the top of your Jollywood priority list.
🎆 Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! Is BACK
This is a BIG one.
Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! is presented exclusively during Jollywood Nights.
The nighttime spectacular takes over the Chinese Theater with projections, lasers, lights, fireworks and holiday music, bringing scenes from Disney movies to life across the theatre.
If you've visited Disney World during previous holiday seasons, you may remember this show.
And I am SO happy it's part of Jollywood Nights.
There's just something about ending a Disney day with a nighttime spectacular.
Christmas nighttime spectacular?
Even better.
⛸️ Glisten! Brings Actual Ice Skating to Hollywood Studios
Yes.
Ice skating. In Florida. At Hollywood Studios.
Because Disney.
Glisten! features champion ice skaters performing routines to a holiday soundtrack combining original songs with Disney music.
This is exactly the kind of entertainment I think makes a separately ticketed event worthwhile.
I don't want to pay almost $200 just to access Hollywood Studios with fewer people.
Give me things I can't experience during a normal park day.
This qualifies.
🍸 The Twilight Soirée at the Tip Top Club Might Be the Most Jollywood Thing Ever
THIS is the Jollywood aesthetic.
The courtyard outside the Hollywood Tower Hotel transforms into the Twilight Soirée at the Tip Top Club, where a live band performs holiday music while guests can purchase cocktails.
Imagine:
✨ Tower of Terror glowing behind you
🎷 Live jazz
🎄 Christmas decorations
🍸 Cocktail in your hand
👗 Everyone dressed up
🌙 Hollywood Studios at night
THAT is Jollywood Nights.
If you're an adult Disney fan, going as a couple or travelling with friends, I think this is one of the biggest reasons Jollywood Nights might appeal to you more than Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.
It's still Disney.
But it feels a little more grown-up.
🎹 Jazzy Holidays at The Hollywood Brown Derby
The sophisticated Christmas vibes continue inside The Hollywood Brown Derby.
During Jollywood Nights, Jazzy Holidays offers live piano music alongside an event-exclusive menu of light bites and craft cocktails.
Important distinction:
The food and drinks are NOT included with your Jollywood Nights ticket.
You'll pay separately for anything you order, and Disney recommends advance reservations for this experience. Your Jollywood ticket is also still required, you can't simply make a Brown Derby reservation and access the party.
Would I spend a huge chunk of a five-hour event sitting at a restaurant?
Probably not.
But if your ideal Christmas night involves cocktails, jazz and old-Hollywood atmosphere rather than racing between rides...
This could be exactly your thing.
🪩 There's a Pixar Disco!
And then Jollywood Nights suddenly says:
Enough sophistication.
Let's dance with Pixar characters.
The Pixar Disco is a character dance party featuring Pixar favourites such as Edna Mode, Frozone, Joy, and Mike Wazowski, among others.
This is one reason I wouldn't describe Jollywood Nights as an adults-only-feeling event.
There are definitely sophisticated elements.
But there's still plenty of silly Disney fun.
And honestly, going from sipping a cocktail beside Tower of Terror to dancing with Mike Wazowski sounds like a very accurate representation of a Disney World vacation.
🎅 The CHARACTER Lineup Is a Huge Selling Point
If you love Disney characters, pay attention to this one.
Disney says the 2026 event will feature more than 20 unique character experiences, including both returning favourites and new additions.
Disney has specifically highlighted characters including:
🎄 Duffy
🎅 Santa Stitch
🎁 Phineas and Ferb
💀 Miguel from Coco
along with many other Disney and Pixar friends.
This is a HUGE reason I would consider buying a ticket.
Some of these aren't characters you're going to casually stumble across during a normal Hollywood Studios day.
If character meets are a big part of your Disney trips, the party suddenly becomes much more valuable.
📸 Your PhotoPass Downloads Are INCLUDED!
I LOVE this inclusion.
Your Jollywood Nights ticket includes digital downloads of your Disney PhotoPass photos and videos taken during the event.
And considering Jollywood Nights encourages guests to dress up in their holiday best...
USE THIS.
Get the pictures.
Wear the sparkly dress.
Wear the Christmas suit.
Coordinate outfits.
Get the Tower of Terror photos.
Get the Hollywood Boulevard photos.
Get the character photos.
If Disney is giving me PhotoPass downloads with my ticket, I am leaving that park with enough Christmas photos to last until next December.
👗 YES - Dress Up!
One of my favourite things about the entire Jollywood Nights concept is that Disney actually encourages guests to embrace the glamorous theme.
Disney describes the event as being filled with red-carpet moments, Hollywood vibes and glimmering décor, and guests are encouraged to wear their holiday best.
Obviously, you don't HAVE to.
But if there were ever a Disney event for the outfit...
This is the one.
Think:
✨ Sparkles
🎄 Holiday dresses
🎀 Bows
🕴️ Vintage Hollywood
❤️ Red and green
🖤 Black and gold
💎 Glam accessories
🎅 Christmas suits
You don't need to wear a ball gown.
You're still walking around a theme park.
But I think dressing up a little would make this event so much more fun.
🎢 You Can Still Ride the BIG Hollywood Studios Attractions
Here's where Jollywood Nights becomes really interesting for people who want entertainment AND rides.
Because attendance is limited, Disney advertises lower waits for select attractions during the event.
The 2026 lineup includes major attractions such as:
🎸 Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets
🌌 Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance
🚀 Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run
⚡ The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror
That first one is particularly interesting for 2026 because the newly reimagined Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets will be open by the holiday season.
If you've ever looked at a 90-minute Rise of the Resistance wait during the day and thought...
Absolutely not.
Jollywood could give you an opportunity to experience major attractions with potentially shorter waits.
🍰 There Are Exclusive Christmas Snacks & Drinks
Of course there are.
Disney has confirmed that both returning favourites and new food and beverage options will be available during the 2026 event, with the full menu coming closer to the holiday season.
But here's something VERY important when you're comparing Jollywood Nights with Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party:
Food and drinks at Jollywood Nights are generally available for PURCHASE.
They're not automatically included with your ticket.
That's something I would factor into your budget.
A $169–$199 ticket can quickly become a more expensive evening once you start adding cocktails and specialty food.
🎁 So What IS Included With Your Jollywood Nights Ticket?
This is the easiest way to think about it.
Your ticket gets you:
🎟️ Hollywood Studios admission beginning at 5:30 PM
🌙 Five hours of official party time from 7:30 PM–12:30 AM
🎭 Party-exclusive entertainment
🎆 Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!
🎄 Disney Holidays in Hollywood
🎃 The Nightmare Before Christmas Sing-Along
⛸️ Glisten!
🎷 Live music and themed party areas
🪩 Pixar Disco
🐭 More than 20 unique character experiences
🎢 Access to participating attractions with potentially lower waits
📸 Disney PhotoPass downloads from the event
✨ Exclusive holiday atmosphere and photo opportunities
Food, specialty treats, alcoholic drinks and experiences such as dining at Jazzy Holidays are additional purchases.
💰 How Much Does Jollywood Nights Cost?
For 2026, tickets range from $169 to $199 USD plus tax per person, depending on your event date.
Children ages 3–9 receive $10 off, and Walt Disney World Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club Members can also save $10 per ticket.
That's not insignificant.
For two adults, you're potentially looking at nearly $400 USD before tax, before buying a single cocktail or snack.
So...
Is It Worth It?
For some people, YES.
For others?
I'd spend that money somewhere else.
🎄 WHO SHOULD BUY A JOLLYWOOD NIGHTS TICKET?
I think Jollywood Nights makes the most sense for a few specific types of Disney travellers.
🥂 Adults & Couples
This might be my #1 recommendation.
If you're doing an adults-only Disney trip, honeymoon, couples getaway or girls' trip during the holidays...
Jollywood Nights is SUCH a vibe.
Cocktails.
Jazz.
Holiday outfits.
Tower of Terror at night.
Live bands.
PhotoPass pictures.
Christmas entertainment.
You can still do characters and rides, but the entire evening feels like it was designed to let adults lean into Disney Christmas without everything revolving around kids.
👗 Anyone Who Loves Getting Dressed Up
If you see "holiday cocktail attire at Disney" and immediately start planning an outfit...
Buy the ticket.
Seriously.
You have found your event.
🎭 Disney Fans Who LOVE Entertainment
This is probably the group getting the best value.
If you want to watch:
Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!
Disney Holidays in Hollywood.
Glisten!
The Nightmare Before Christmas Sing-Along.
Live bands.
Character entertainment.
And everything else...
There's a LOT packed into five hours.
You can easily make an entire night out of the exclusive entertainment without focusing heavily on attractions.
🐭 Character Hunters
More than 20 unique character experiences?!
Enough said.
If rare characters are one of your favourite parts of Disney trips, I would seriously consider Jollywood.
🎢 People Who Want Rides AND Christmas
Maybe you don't want an entire evening of parades and cookies.
You want Christmas...
But you also want Rise of the Resistance and Tower of Terror.
Jollywood gives you both.
The limited capacity can mean lower waits for select attractions, so you can mix holiday entertainment with some of Hollywood Studios' biggest rides.
🎅 Who Might Prefer Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party?
This is where I'd really think about what Christmas at Disney looks like in your head.
If your dream Disney Christmas is:
🏰 Cinderella Castle
🍪 Cookies and cocoa
❄️ Snow on Main Street
🎅 Santa
🎄 A huge Christmas parade
🎆 Classic Magic Kingdom Christmas
🐭 Mickey and friends
✨ Maximum nostalgic Disney Christmas
I'd probably send you toward Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.
Especially for families with younger kids.
Jollywood Nights has characters and family-friendly entertainment, but the overall aesthetic is more Hollywood holiday party than traditional Christmas wonderland.
Neither one is better.
They're just different.
🤔 Who Should Probably SKIP Jollywood Nights?
I wouldn't automatically recommend this event to everyone.
I'd consider skipping it if:
You have very young kids who won't make it anywhere near 12:30 AM.
You're already stretching your Disney budget.
You don't care about special entertainment or characters.
You're mainly interested in rides and would rather purchase a regular After Hours event.
You're already doing Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and don't feel strongly about experiencing both.
Or you're visiting Disney for the first time and only have a few days.
If you have four park days for your first-ever Walt Disney World vacation, I probably wouldn't start rearranging everything around an expensive five-hour Christmas event.
See Disney World first.
Special events can come later.
🎄 Jollywood Nights vs. Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party
If you can only choose ONE...
Here's how I'd decide.
Choose Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party if you want:
Classic Disney Christmas.
Magic Kingdom.
A Christmas parade.
Cookies.
Snow on Main Street.
Traditional holiday nostalgia.
A very family-focused Christmas experience.
Choose Jollywood Nights if you want:
Old-Hollywood Christmas glamour.
Live music.
Cocktails.
Rare characters.
Nighttime entertainment.
A more adult-friendly atmosphere.
Great holiday outfits and photos.
Hollywood Studios attractions with potentially lower waits.
And if you're obsessed with Disney Christmas and your budget allows it?
Well...
You already know what I'm going to say.
Do both.
Sorry.
⭐ My Biggest Jollywood Nights Tip: Don't Treat It Like a Regular Park Night
You only have five official party hours.
Don't waste them.
Before you arrive, look at the entertainment schedule and choose your absolute must-dos.
I'd personally prioritize something like:
Disney Holidays in Hollywood → Characters → Twilight Soirée → Glisten! → Nightmare Before Christmas Sing-Along → a couple major rides → Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!
And then fit food, photos and anything else around those.
If you spend half your party standing in line for attractions you could ride during a regular Hollywood Studios day, I don't think you're getting the best value from your ticket.
The exclusive entertainment is what you're paying for.
✨ So, Would I Go to Disney Jollywood Nights?
Yes, but I'd go into it knowing exactly what kind of event it is.
I wouldn't expect Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2.0.
I wouldn't expect a regular Disney After Hours event.
And I wouldn't expect everything to be included once I'm inside.
I'd go because I want Hollywood Studios dressed up for Christmas.
I'd dress up.
I'd take advantage of the included PhotoPass.
I'd see the shows.
I'd meet the unusual characters.
I'd grab a holiday cocktail.
I'd listen to jazz beside Tower of Terror.
I'd ride Rise of the Resistance with a hopefully shorter wait.
And I'd finish my night watching Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!
That sounds like a VERY good Disney Christmas night to me.
🎄 Planning a Walt Disney World Christmas Vacation?
Disney Jollywood Nights takes place on select nights from November 7, 2026 through January 5, 2027, with tickets currently priced from $169–$199 USD plus tax.
And if you're deciding between Jollywood Nights, Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, or both, that's exactly the kind of thing I can help with.
At Magical Moments Travel, I can help you choose the right Disney resort, park tickets, special events and itinerary based on how you actually want to experience the holidays.
Because there are SO many things happening at Walt Disney World during Christmas...
And you absolutely do not need to buy every add-on Disney puts in front of you.
But the right one can become one of the best nights of your entire trip. 🎄🥂✨
