Disney Cruise Line is preparing to welcome another beautiful ship to its rapidly growing fleet—and the Disney Believe may be one of its most imaginative ships yet.
Scheduled to set sail in December 2027, the Disney Believe will celebrate the power of promise and possibility. Its stories will focus on characters who believe in themselves, their families, their dreams and the idea that something extraordinary may be waiting just beyond the horizon.
From the world’s first stage adaptation of Encanto and a brand-new Frozen dining experience to a Moana-inspired Grand Hall, imaginative adult lounges, spaces for every age group and a two-storey suite inspired by Magic Kingdom Park, there is already so much to look forward to.
Here is everything Disney has officially revealed about the Disney Believe so far.
Disney Believe at a Glance
The Disney Believe will be the ninth ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet and the fourth ship in the Wish class, joining the Disney Wish, Disney Treasure and Disney Destiny.
Each Wish-class ship has its own storytelling theme:
- Disney Wish celebrates enchantment.
- Disney Treasure celebrates adventure.
- Disney Destiny celebrates heroes and villains.
- Disney Believe will celebrate promise and possibility.
The ship is currently being constructed at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany. Its first of three enormous “gigablocks” floated out of the shipyard in September 2026, followed by its traditional keel-laying ceremony in October. A specially minted coin featuring Tinker Bell was placed beneath the keel to bring good fortune to the ship and its future crew.
Disney has confirmed that the Disney Believe will begin sailing from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on December 18, 2027.
The Disney Believe Maiden Voyage and Inaugural Itineraries
The Disney Believe will embark on its maiden voyage on December 18, 2027.
This first sailing will be a five-night Bahamian cruise from Fort Lauderdale, visiting:
- Nassau, The Bahamas
- Disney Castaway Cay
- Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point
Following its maiden voyage, the Disney Believe will offer:
- Four- and five-night cruises to The Bahamas
- Five-night Western Caribbean cruises
- Visits to one or both of Disney Cruise Line’s island destinations on every itinerary
That means every Disney Believe itinerary will include time at Disney Castaway Cay, Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point or both.
Fort Lauderdale is also a convenient departure point for families who want to combine their cruise with a stay in South Florida.

A Ship Designed Around Promise and Possibility
The Disney Believe’s design will be connected by stories about courage, dreams, family, discovery and believing in something greater than oneself.
Moana represents belief in the power of nature and the call to explore. Mirabel represents belief in family and magic. The Frozen stories centre on the strength of love and belonging, while Tinker Bell brings the faith, trust and pixie dust at the heart of the ship’s name.
These themes will appear throughout the Disney Believe’s artwork, restaurants, entertainment, lounges, staterooms and exterior design.
Tinker Bell on the Bow
Disney Cruise Line traditionally decorates the bow of every ship with elegant character artwork.
The Disney Believe’s bow will feature Tinker Bell as she appeared in Disney’s 1953 animated film Peter Pan. She will be surrounded by silhouettes of Peter Pan, Wendy, Captain Hook and other characters flying through the design.
Tinker Bell is a fitting choice for a ship built around faith, trust, dreams and possibilities.
Woody and Buzz on the Stern
The ship’s stern will feature larger-than-life sculptures of Woody and Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story.
The two friends will appear to be working together to write the ship’s name across the stern using giant yellow crayons. Instead of Disney Cruise Line’s traditional calligraphy, the Disney Believe’s name will use playful block lettering inspired by the Toy Story logo.
A Moana-Inspired Grand Hall
The Grand Hall will be the central gathering place and visual heart of the Disney Believe.
Inspired by the worlds of Disney Animation’s Moana films, the space will celebrate exploration, nature and the meeting point between the sky and sea.
A bronze statue of Moana will stand at the centre of the space alongside Pua and Heihei, gazing toward the horizon and guiding guests into their next adventure.
The Grand Hall will also feature:
- Ocean-coloured carpeting with bioluminescent details
- Artisanal Polynesian-inspired finishes
- Design elements influenced by the Pacific Islands
- A flowing chandelier inspired by the movement of the sea
- A hidden Heart of Te Fiti incorporated into the chandelier
Like the Grand Halls on the other Wish-class ships, this space will be more than a beautiful lobby. It is expected to serve as a setting for character appearances, entertainment and special moments throughout the voyage.
Entertainment on the Disney Believe
Entertainment will be one of the Disney Believe’s biggest highlights, with three Broadway-style productions in the Walt Disney Theatre, a new Zootopia experience and several returning Disney Cruise Line favourites.
Disney Encanto
For the first time ever, Encanto will be adapted into a full stage production.
Created exclusively for the Disney Believe, “Disney Encanto” will follow Mirabel as she works to save her family and their magical home.
The production will incorporate:
- Colourful costumes
- Imaginative scenic design
- Traditional dance styles
- Cultural influences from Colombia
- Music written by Disney Legend Lin-Manuel Miranda
Guests can expect favourite songs such as “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” and “Surface Pressure.”
This will be the world’s first theatrical stage adaptation of the Academy Award-winning film and one of the Disney Believe’s most exclusive experiences.
Tangled: The Musical
A reimagined version of “Tangled: The Musical” will join the Disney Believe after becoming a fan favourite aboard the Disney Magic.
The show tells the story of Rapunzel, Flynn Rider, Mother Gothel and the inhabitants of the Snuggly Duckling through elaborate sets, costumes, puppetry and music.
The Disney Believe’s production will receive reimagined scenic design and new special effects exclusive to the ship.
Disney Seas the Adventure
“Disney Seas the Adventure” will complete the ship’s main theatrical lineup.
This original Wish-class production features beloved Disney and Pixar characters performing familiar songs as Goofy learns what it takes to become a confident captain.
Gazelle: A Zootopia Entertainment Hub
A completely new entertainment venue called Gazelle will be inspired by the colourful city from Disney Animation’s Zootopia films.
During the day, the venue will offer family activities such as:
- Trivia
- Games
- Interactive entertainment
- Character encounters
- Family programming
At night, the space will transform to offer adult-exclusive entertainment, including silent discos and variety performances.
For the first time on Disney Cruise Line, Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde will also star in a new family show. Guests will be invited to help the pair solve their latest case.
Pirate’s Rockin’ Parlay Party
The Disney Believe will continue Disney Cruise Line’s tradition of hosting a pirate-themed deck party.
Pirate’s Rockin’ Parlay Party will combine:
- Disney characters
- A live rock band
- Music and dancing
- Entertainment across the upper decks
- Disney Cruise Line’s famous fireworks at sea
Fireworks are always subject to weather and maritime conditions.
Hero Zone
Hero Zone will be a futuristic sports arena where families can participate in:
- Free-play sports

- Family competitions
- Active challenges
The flexible indoor space will provide entertainment regardless of the weather outside.
Disney Uncharted Adventure
Disney Uncharted Adventure will turn guests’ mobile devices into tools for exploring the ship.
Families can unlock interactive quests, use augmented-reality-style effects and discover hidden adventures in different areas of the Disney Believe.
Wonderland and Never Land Cinemas
The ship’s two boutique cinemas will provide complimentary showings of:
- Disney films
- Pixar films
- Marvel films

Rotational Dining on the Disney Believe
Disney Cruise Line’s signature rotational dining system allows guests to experience each of the ship’s main dining rooms while their serving team rotates with them.
The Disney Believe will feature one completely new family restaurant and two returning Wish-class dining experiences.
Oaken’s Table: A Frozen Family Feast
Oaken’s Table will introduce an original chapter in the Frozen story.
Guests will be welcomed into a cosy sommerhus courtyard hidden deep in the forest, where Oaken and his family have gathered everyone for a feast.
Favourite characters will include:
- Oaken
- Anna
- Kristoff
- Members of Oaken’s extended family
Oaken’s musical cousins will perform reimagined versions of songs from the Frozen films while families dine together.
Rather than recreating a scene from one of the movies, the restaurant will expand the Frozen universe with an entirely new setting and story.
1923
Named for the year The Walt Disney Company was founded, 1923 will celebrate the art and history of Disney animation.
More than 1,000 drawings, props and animation tools from the Walt Disney Archives will be displayed throughout the restaurant.
Artwork and artifacts will highlight stories including:
- Lilo & Stitch
- Alice in Wonderland
- Toy Story
- Peter Pan
The restaurant is expected to offer the refined atmosphere and California-inspired cuisine associated with 1923 aboard the other Wish-class ships.
Worlds of Marvel
Worlds of Marvel will return with “Marvel Celebration of Heroes: Groot Remix.”
Families will dine while Rocket and Groot lead an energetic experience set to an “awesome mix” of music.
The restaurant will combine Marvel storytelling, on-screen entertainment and interactive moments throughout dinner.
