First Things First... The Great Debate
Before we even get to the drinks, we need to address the biggest controversy in EPCOT.
Which direction should you go?
Almost everyone will tell you to start in Mexico.
"You have to start with the Avocado Margarita!"
"It's tradition!"
"It's the only way!"
Meanwhile...
I'll happily be walking toward Canada with absolutely zero shame.
Why?
- The crowds naturally head to Mexico first thing in the morning.
- Canada is usually much quieter.
- I don't necessarily want tequila before noon.
- I get to save one of EPCOT's most famous drinks for the grand finale.
Call me backwards if you want.
I call it strategic.
Canada
Ottawa Apple
Starting in Canada means starting light—and the Ottawa Apple is the perfect way to kick off the day.
This crisp apple cocktail is refreshing without being overly sweet, making it ideal before the Florida heat really kicks in. It has fresh apple flavour with just enough kick to remind you you're officially starting the challenge.
It's one of those drinks that's easy to sip while strolling through the beautiful gardens and waterfalls of the Canada Pavilion.

United Kingdom
Leaping Leprechaun
If you're looking for a drink that packs a punch, the Leaping Leprechaun is it.
Served at the Rose & Crown Pub, this bright green cocktail has become one of EPCOT's signature drinks. It's made with Jameson Irish Whiskey, light rum, vodka, melon liqueur, sweet-and-sour mix, and topped with Sprite.
That might sound like a recipe for disaster...
Instead, it's surprisingly smooth.
The melon liqueur and Sprite make it sweet, refreshing, and incredibly easy to drink despite containing three different spirits.
In fact, it might be too easy to drink.

- Anyone who wants a stronger drink without tasting too much alcohol

Grey Goose Citron Lemonade Slush
If there were an official mascot for Drinking Around the World...
This might be it.
The Grey Goose Citron Lemonade Slush has become one of EPCOT's most iconic drinks, and after one sip you'll understand why.
It's icy, tart, citrusy, refreshing, and absolutely perfect on a hot Florida afternoon. The vodka is smooth without overpowering the lemonade, making this a crowd favourite year after year.

Morocco
Sahara Spritz
The Sahara Spritz doesn't always get the attention it deserves.
This sparkling cocktail is bright, citrusy, and refreshing without being overly sweet. It's elegant, light, and a nice change of pace from many of the fruitier drinks around World Showcase.
It's the kind of cocktail you could happily sip while wandering the beautiful streets of the Morocco Pavilion.

Tokyo Sunset
One of the prettiest drinks in all of EPCOT.
The Tokyo Sunset combines tropical fruit flavours into a colourful layered cocktail that's almost too beautiful to drink.
Almost.
It's fruity, refreshing, and photographs incredibly well—so don't be surprised if everyone in your group wants a picture before anyone takes the first sip.

American Adventure
Moonshine Sour
By the time I reach America, I'm usually ready for something that isn't another fruity frozen cocktail.
The Moonshine Sour delivers exactly that.
It has the classic flavours of a whiskey sour with a Southern twist thanks to the moonshine. It's smooth, balanced, and a nice palate cleanser after several sweeter drinks.

- Anyone looking for something less sweet

Italian Margarita
If you love margaritas but want something a little different, this is your drink.
The Italian Margarita blends tequila with Italian liqueurs for a smoother, slightly sweeter version of the classic cocktail.

Schöfferhofer Pink Grapefruit Hefeweizen
I'll admit...
I'm not always the biggest beer drinker.
But this one changed my mind.
The Schöfferhofer Pink Grapefruit Hefeweizen combines a traditional German wheat beer with refreshing grapefruit flavour, creating something that's crisp, light, and incredibly drinkable.
Even people who normally avoid beer often end up loving this one.

Kung Fu Punch
Another EPCOT classic.
The Kung Fu Punch is colourful, fruity, tropical, and packed with flavour without tasting overly strong.
It's one of those drinks that's almost universally loved because it's approachable and refreshing while still feeling like a vacation cocktail.

Frozen Viking Coffee
Dessert...

All in one.
The Frozen Viking Coffee is one of the most unique drinks in EPCOT, combining coffee, creamy liqueurs, and frozen goodness into the perfect afternoon pick-me-up.
After walking around World Showcase all day, this little caffeine boost is always appreciated.

Mexico
Avocado Margarita
Yes...
It contains avocado.
No...
It doesn't taste like guacamole.
Probably the most famous drink in all of EPCOT, the Avocado Margarita has earned its legendary reputation. It's creamy, smooth, citrusy, slightly herbal, and unlike any margarita you've likely had before.
This is exactly why I save it for last.
Ending the day with one of EPCOT's most iconic cocktails just feels right.

Tips for Drinking Around the World
Drinking Around the World is meant to be fun, not a race.
A few things I've learned over the years:
🍽️ Eat throughout the day. EPCOT has incredible snacks and festival booths—use them!
💧 Drink plenty of water. Florida heat sneaks up on everyone.
👫 Share drinks if you want to try more without overdoing it.
🚶 Take your time. Half the fun is exploring each pavilion between drinks.
🎶 Enjoy the entertainment! Live music, performers, shopping, and attractions are all part of the experience.
Most importantly, know your limits and drink responsibly. The goal is to make magical memories—not spend the rest of your vacation recovering!

Will people continue telling me I'm doing EPCOT backwards?
Absolutely.
Will I continue happily sipping my Ottawa Apple while everyone else waits in the Mexico line?
Also absolutely.
Sometimes the best Disney tips are the ones that go against the crowd.
And in my opinion...
