Celebrate Hispanic & Latin American Heritage Month at Disney World: Everything Happening in 2026 🌺🎶✨

Celebrate Hispanic & Latin American Heritage Month at Disney World: Everything Happening in 2026 🌺🎶✨

Walt Disney World is celebrating Hispanic & Latin American Heritage Month from September 15 through October 15, 2026 with Together We Are Magia! 🌺🎶✨ Throughout the celebration, guests can experience Latin American music during EPCOT’s Eat to the Beat Concert Series, see beloved characters like Mirabel, Miguel, Princess Elena, José Carioca and Panchito at Magic Kingdom, enjoy special cultural experiences at select Disney Resorts, and shop a new Coco-inspired merchandise collection. With Food & Wine Festival, Halloween festivities and all of these additional experiences happening around the same time, it’s another reason why fall is such an exciting time to visit Disney World! I’m breaking down what’s happening, where to find it and what I’d prioritize if your vacation falls during the celebration. 💕🏰

There is ALWAYS something happening at Walt Disney World, and this fall brings another celebration filled with music, culture, characters, food, family and Disney magic.

From September 15 through October 15, 2026, Walt Disney World is celebrating Hispanic & Latin American Heritage Month with Together We Are Magia, highlighting Hispanic and Latin American cultures and traditions throughout the resort.

And this isn't something happening in just one park.

You'll find special entertainment at EPCOT, characters at Magic Kingdom, activities at Disney Resorts, Coco merchandise and more throughout the celebration.

So if your Disney World vacation falls between September 15 and October 15, here are some of the special experiences you can look for! 💃✨

🌺 What Is Together We Are Magia?

Disney's Together We Are Magia celebration brings Hispanic and Latin American culture into Walt Disney World through music, storytelling, entertainment, characters and family experiences.

And I really like that this isn't presented as one single event you need to buy a separate ticket for.

Instead, you'll find different experiences throughout your regular Walt Disney World vacation.

So you might watch a Latin artist perform during EPCOT's Eat to the Beat Concert Series one night, see Mirabel or Miguel in Magic Kingdom the next day, and then return to your Disney Resort for another cultural experience.

It becomes another layer of your Disney trip rather than something you necessarily need to build an entire day around.

Luis Fonsi Is Part of the 2026 Celebration

Disney teamed up with Puerto Rican superstar Luis Fonsi for this year's Hispanic & Latin American Heritage Month celebration.

During his visit to Walt Disney World, Fonsi stopped by EPCOT's ¡Celebración Encanto!, where he met Mirabel and Bruno and enjoyed the music and dancing with the Storytellers and Primos.

And apparently even international music stars have their Disney must-dos because he also rode his favourite attraction...

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. 😂

He also met his favourite Disney character, Mickey Mouse.

Fonsi shared how proud he is of his Puerto Rican roots and the opportunity to celebrate his culture with families visiting Walt Disney World from around the world.

I LOVE seeing Disney celebrations like this actually include people who have a genuine connection to the cultures being celebrated.

🎶 EPCOT's Eat to the Beat Gets Even More Music

If you're visiting EPCOT during the celebration, you'll definitely want to check the Eat to the Beat Concert Series schedule.

This concert series is already part of the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, but several Hispanic and Latin performers are scheduled during Hispanic & Latin American Heritage Month.

🎤 Latin Ambition

September 15–17

🎤 Grupo Mania

September 20–21

🎤 Metro Latino Band

September 22–24

🎤 Rey Ruiz

October 5–6

🎤 Viva Latina

October 9–11

If one of these performances overlaps with your EPCOT day, I would absolutely try to work it into your evening.

One of my favourite things about EPCOT festivals is that there's already SO much going on beyond rides.

You can spend your day eating around World Showcase, trying festival drinks, exploring the countries and then finish with live music.

THIS is why I keep saying EPCOT is not just about rides. 😂

🦋 Look for Mirabel at Magic Kingdom!

The celebration continues over at Magic Kingdom with some familiar Disney characters.

The Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade includes several characters connected to Hispanic and Latin American stories and cultures, including:

🦋 Mirabel from Encanto
🎸 Miguel from Coco
👑 Princess Elena of Avalor
🦜 José Carioca
🐓 Panchito

And more!

I LOVE the Adventure Friends Cavalcade because you can see so many characters without committing a huge portion of your park day to waiting in individual character lines.

If you're travelling with a big Encanto or Coco fan, definitely check the entertainment schedule during your visit so you don't accidentally miss it.

🏨 Don't Forget About Your Disney Resort!

This is one of those little details that would be SO easy to miss.

If you're staying at a Disney Resort hotel, there can be additional Hispanic and Latin American-inspired experiences during the celebration.

Disney says select Movies Under the Stars experiences may feature special storytelling, music, dance and films inspired by Hispanic and Latin American cultures.

And this is exactly why I always tell people:

Your Disney Resort is part of your vacation too!

You don't necessarily need to be in a theme park from 7 AM until midnight every single day.

Go back to your resort.

Swim.

Get dinner.

Explore.

Watch a movie.

See what activities are happening.

Especially if you're travelling with kids, those slower resort evenings can end up becoming some of your favourite memories.

🎸 Coco Fans, This One Is for You

If Coco is one of your favourite Disney/Pixar movies, there is also a new merchandise collection celebrating the movie's themes of family, music and tradition.

The collection includes items such as:

☕ A Miguel mug
🌺 A floral tee
🌈 An alebrije headband
✨ And more

And listen...

Disney merchandise is dangerous enough already.

Make it Coco-themed and colourful?

My wallet doesn't stand a chance. 😂

🌎 Why I Love Celebrations Like This at EPCOT

EPCOT feels like such a natural place for part of this celebration.

World Showcase is already about exploring different countries, foods and cultures, and the festivals add even more opportunities to experience music and food from around the world.

If your trip overlaps with Hispanic & Latin American Heritage Month AND the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival?

Take advantage of both!

Check the concert schedule.

Try foods you haven't had before.

Explore World Showcase instead of running from attraction to attraction.

Stop for live entertainment.

And actually give yourself time to enjoy EPCOT.

You already know my opinion on this...

EPCOT deserves a FULL DAY.

Honestly, I could easily spend more than one. 😂

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Is Hispanic & Latin American Heritage Month Good for Kids?

Absolutely.

One thing I like about the way Disney celebrates is that many of the experiences are easy to incorporate into a normal family vacation.

Kids might recognize characters like Mirabel and Miguel, enjoy the music and dancing, watch a movie at the resort or discover something new while exploring EPCOT.

You don't necessarily have to sit younger kids down and explain:

"Today we're going to learn about culture."

They're experiencing it through music, stories, characters, dancing and family traditions.

And that makes it accessible for so many different ages.

🗓️ When Is Hispanic & Latin American Heritage Month at Disney World?

Disney World's Together We Are Magia celebration runs:

📅 September 15 – October 15, 2026

That makes it especially interesting because this is already SUCH a fun time to visit Walt Disney World.

Depending on your dates, you could potentially have:

🌺 Hispanic & Latin American Heritage Month
🍽️ EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival
🎃 Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party
👻 Halloween decorations and seasonal treats
🎶 Eat to the Beat Concert Series

All happening during the SAME vacation.

If you love special events and seasonal Disney experiences...

Fall is HARD to beat.

⭐ What Would I Prioritize?

If I were visiting during the celebration, I wouldn't completely rearrange my vacation trying to see every single offering.

Instead, I'd look at what naturally fits into the trip.

For me, the biggest priorities would be:

🎶 Catch an Eat to the Beat performance

If one of the Hispanic or Latin performers overlaps with my EPCOT day, I'd absolutely add it to the itinerary.

🦋 Watch the Adventure Friends Cavalcade

Especially if you're already spending a day at Magic Kingdom.

🌺 Slow down at EPCOT

Take some time to appreciate the music, food and atmosphere instead of making the entire day about Lightning Lanes and rides.

🏨 Check the resort activity schedule

If you're staying at a Disney Resort, see what's happening while you're there! You might discover something you didn't even know was part of the celebration.

And...

🛍️ Look at the Coco merchandise.

Obviously. 😂

💕 Another Reason Fall Is One of My Favourite Times for Disney World

There are already SO many reasons to love Walt Disney World in the fall.

Food & Wine.

Halloween.

Seasonal snacks.

Special events.

Slightly different entertainment.

And now, Hispanic & Latin American Heritage Month adds another celebration to the mix.

What I especially like is that Together We Are Magia isn't about one attraction or one character.

It's about family, music, traditions and culture—things that already connect so naturally with Disney storytelling.

And whether you catch a concert at EPCOT, see Miguel in Magic Kingdom, participate in something at your resort or simply discover a new piece of Coco merchandise, there are plenty of little ways to experience it throughout your trip.
