Disney Cruise Line has revealed its Fall 2027 and Spring 2028 itineraries, and some long-awaited favourites are finally back! 🚢✨ From the Disney Wish sailing from New York City to the return of Canada & New England, Bermuda, and Panama Canal cruises, this might be one of the most exciting itinerary releases in years. This guide covers the biggest announcements, new ports, special sailings, seasonal Halloween and Christmas cruises, booking dates, and the three itineraries I’ve personally been waiting years to see return. 🍁🏖️🚢
Okay, Disney Cruise Line...
You have my attention.
Disney Cruise Line has revealed its Fall 2027 and Spring 2028 itineraries, and while there are plenty of exciting cruises in the announcement, there are three words, or technically destinations, that immediately had me excited:
🍁 Canada & New England
🏖️ Bermuda
🚢 Panama Canal
Some of these are Disney Cruise Line itineraries I've been waiting THREE YEARS to see return, so the second this announcement came out, I was ready to start looking at dates.
And that's not even everything.
The Disney Wish is going to New York City. There are more sailings from San Juan, new ports in Panama, double Castaway Cay itineraries, the Disney Destiny moving to Port Canaveral, seasonal Halloween and Christmas cruises, and plenty more happening across the fleet.
If you've been waiting for something a little different from your typical Disney Bahamas or Caribbean cruise, this is the itinerary release to pay attention to.
Let's get into it!
🗽 Disney Cruise Line Is FINALLY Going Back to New York!
This might be the part of the announcement I'm most excited about.
Disney Cruise Line is returning to New York City in Fall 2027, and they're bringing the Disney Wish!
After spending its inaugural European season overseas, the Disney Wish will make its way to New York in late September 2027 for a limited season of just seven cruises, ranging from four to seven nights.
And the itineraries?
THIS is what I've been waiting for.
🏖️ Bermuda Is Back!
It's been far too long since we've had Disney cruises from New York to Bermuda.
For Fall 2027, the Disney Wish will offer five Bermuda sailings from New York City.
Even better, three of those cruises include an additional day in Bermuda.
If you've never been, Bermuda is one of those destinations that feels perfect for a cruise: beautiful pink-sand beaches, gorgeous blue water, colourful architecture and plenty to explore once you get off the ship.
And I love the idea of pairing it with a few days in New York.
Imagine:
🗽 A pre-cruise stay in NYC
🚢 Boarding the Disney Wish
🏖️ Sailing to Bermuda
🌸 Pink-sand beaches
✨ Disney entertainment every night
That's such a fun vacation combination.
And after waiting YEARS for Bermuda to appear on Disney Cruise Line itineraries again, I'm very happy to see this one return.
🍁 CANADA & NEW ENGLAND ARE BACK!!!
THIS ONE.
This is the itinerary I've been waiting for.
Disney Cruise Line will once again sail from New York to New England and Atlantic Canada in Fall 2027, marking its first return to these destinations in nearly four years.
And as a Canadian Disney Cruise Line fan?
I am SO excited.
There is something completely different about this itinerary compared with the tropical cruises we usually associate with Disney.
Instead of palm trees and Caribbean beaches, imagine sailing past:
🍁 Brilliant fall colours
🌊 Rugged Atlantic coastline
⚓ Historic ports
🏘️ Charming seaside communities
🚢 All while sailing aboard the Disney Wish
Disney Cruise Line during peak fall foliage season just sounds BEAUTIFUL.
Don't get me wrong, I will happily take a Caribbean cruise any day.
But I LOVE when Disney offers itineraries that allow you to experience completely different destinations.
I've been waiting three years for Canada & New England to come back, and the fact that it's returning from New York aboard the Disney Wish makes it even more exciting.
If you've always wanted to try Disney Cruise Line but aren't necessarily a tropical-vacation person, this could be your sailing.
🚢 The Panama Canal Is Back Too!
Another itinerary I'm thrilled to see return:
PANAMA CANAL!
The Disney Magic will offer two 14-night Panama Canal repositioning cruises, with one sailing in Fall 2027 and another in Spring 2028.
These are the kinds of Disney itineraries that really feel like an adventure.
Instead of taking a week-long round-trip cruise, you're actually travelling between two regions while sailing through one of the world's most famous engineering landmarks.
And because these are 14-night cruises, you get SO much time aboard the Disney Magic.
For someone who loves the ships as much as the destinations, that sounds pretty amazing.
There are also new Disney Cruise Line calls in Panama associated with these sailings.
The eastbound itinerary will make Disney's first visit to Fuerte Amador, Panama, providing access to Panama City, while the westbound voyage will make a maiden call at Colón, Panama.
So you're getting the Panama Canal experience AND destinations Disney hasn't visited before.
This is exactly the kind of unique itinerary I want to see more of from Disney Cruise Line.
More Disney Cruises From San Juan
Puerto Rico is getting more Disney Cruise Line love too!
During Fall 2027 and Spring 2028, both the Disney Wish and Disney Fantasy will offer sailings from San Juan, Puerto Rico.
These cruises will range from five to seven nights and visit destinations throughout the Southern and Eastern Caribbean.
I love San Juan as a cruise departure point because you're already much farther into the Caribbean when your vacation begins.
That can open up itineraries to islands that aren't always practical on shorter cruises departing Florida.
Plus, you can turn your cruise into a longer vacation by spending a couple of nights exploring Puerto Rico beforehand.
Old San Juan + Disney cruise?
Yes please.
🏰 The Disney Destiny Is Moving to Port Canaveral
Another big change for Fall 2027:
The Disney Destiny will homeport at Port Canaveral for the first time.
The ship will begin the season sailing from Fort Lauderdale before moving north to Port Canaveral, where it will offer three- to seven-night Bahamas and Western Caribbean cruises.
If you've been wanting to experience the Disney Destiny and its heroes-and-villains theme, this gives you even more itinerary options.
And Port Canaveral is obviously incredibly convenient for anyone who wants to combine a Disney cruise with a Walt Disney World vacation.
A few days at Disney World followed by a Disney cruise?
That's my kind of vacation.
🌴 The Disney Wish Returns to Florida After New York & San Juan
After its special New York and San Juan itineraries, the Disney Wish will eventually return to its familiar home in Port Canaveral.
From there, it will sail three- and four-night Bahamian itineraries, including visits to Disney's island destinations:
🏝️ Disney Castaway Cay
🏝️ Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point
These shorter sailings are great for someone trying Disney Cruise Line for the first time, or anyone wanting to combine a cruise with Walt Disney World.
🗺️ Disney Treasure Continues Its Caribbean Adventures
The Disney Treasure will continue offering the longer Caribbean cruises it's become known for.
You'll find plenty of seven-night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries, along with a couple of special sailings.
One is an eight-night Eastern Caribbean cruise.
But the one that caught my attention?
A six-night Bahamas cruise with TWO visits to Disney Castaway Cay.
Two Castaway days?!
That's the kind of itinerary where you don't have to choose between:
"Should I spend the whole day at the beach?"
and
"Should I actually explore the island?"
You can do both.
🏖️ Even MORE Double Castaway Cay!
The Treasure isn't the only ship getting double Castaway Cay fun.
The Disney Dream will sail three- and four-night Bahamas cruises from Port Canaveral before moving to Fort Lauderdale in November 2027.
From there, it will offer three- to five-night Bahamas cruises.
And there's also a special six-night itinerary featuring TWO visits to Disney Castaway Cay.
If Castaway Cay is your favourite Disney Cruise Line destination, these special sailings should absolutely be on your radar.
🌴 Disney Fantasy Is Going to Bermuda!
Here's another one I wasn't expecting:
The Disney Fantasy will sail to Bermuda for the first time!
The Fantasy will spend part of Fall 2027 sailing four- and five-night Bahamas and Western Caribbean cruises from Port Canaveral before also offering sailings from Fort Lauderdale.
But among those Fort Lauderdale itineraries is a special eight-night Bermuda cruise.
And it gets even better.
That sailing is also expected to visit both Disney Castaway Cay and Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.
So you're potentially getting:
🏖️ Bermuda
🏝️ Castaway Cay
🏝️ Lookout Cay
🚢 Disney Fantasy
That is a VERY interesting itinerary.
☀️ Two Disney Ships From San Diego
West Coast cruisers aren't being forgotten!
Both the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder will begin the Fall 2027 season sailing from San Diego.
That means two Disney ships will be operating from California through early November.
The ships will offer three- to seven-night Baja and Mexican Riviera itineraries, with destinations that can include:
Ensenada
Cabo San Lucas
Catalina Island
The Disney Wonder will continue sailing from San Diego through the Fall 2027 and Spring 2028 seasons, while the Disney Magic eventually heads through the Panama Canal.
🤠 Disney Magic Heads Back to Texas
After completing its eastbound Panama Canal cruise, the Disney Magic will return to Galveston, Texas.
It will offer four- to seven-night cruises from Galveston throughout the season.
And here's where things get interesting.
Select seven-night Bahamas itineraries from Texas will visit BOTH Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point AND Disney Castaway Cay.
That's a pretty incredible option for families who want Disney's private-island experiences without flying to Florida to board their cruise.
🌏 Disney Adventure Continues Sailing From Singapore
Across the world, the Disney Adventure will continue sailing from Singapore.
New three- and four-night itineraries will operate from September through December 2027.
There's also an exciting addition coming even sooner.
Select Disney Adventure sailings between December 31, 2026 and May 2027 will visit Langkawi, Malaysia.
That gives guests an opportunity to combine everything happening aboard the enormous Disney Adventure with time exploring Langkawi's tropical scenery and coastline.
Disney Cruise Line truly isn't just a Florida-and-Caribbean cruise line anymore.
🎃 Halloween on the High Seas Is Returning
Now let's talk seasonal cruises.
Halloween on the High Seas returns on select Disney Cruise Line sailings beginning in September 2027.
These cruises bring Halloween right onboard with:
🎃 Disney characters dressed for spooky season
👻 Special Halloween entertainment
🍬 Trick-or-treating at sea
🎉 Themed parties
🕸️ Halloween decorations throughout the ship
If you love Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Walt Disney World, imagine taking that Disney Halloween feeling out to sea.
And depending on the itinerary...
You could potentially be sailing somewhere like Bermuda or Canada & New England during spooky season.
Disney Halloween + fall foliage + Disney Wish?
I need it.
🎄 Very Merrytime Cruises Are Coming Back Too
Starting in November 2027, Disney Cruise Line will transition from Halloween into Christmas with the return of Very Merrytime Cruises.
Ships get dressed up for the holidays with festive decorations, and you'll find seasonal entertainment and activities throughout your sailing.
Expect experiences such as:
🎄 Holiday decorations
✨ Tree-lighting festivities
🎅 Santa appearances
🎉 Seasonal deck parties
🍪 Holiday treats
❤️ Disney characters celebrating the season
There's something about walking onto a Disney ship and seeing that huge Christmas tree in the atrium that immediately makes the cruise feel extra special.
If your family LOVES Christmas, a Very Merrytime cruise can be an entire holiday vacation without you having to decorate a thing.
Even better.
⭐ The Three Itineraries I'm MOST Excited About
There are a lot of exciting things in this announcement.
But personally?
Three immediately went to the top of my list.
🍁 #1 – Canada & New England
I've waited THREE YEARS for this to come back.
The fact that it's returning from New York aboard the Disney Wish during fall makes it even better.
Disney Cruise Line + Atlantic Canada + New England + fall colours?
This is easily one of the sailings I'm most excited about.
🏖️ #2 – Bermuda
Another destination I've been patiently waiting to see return.
I love that Disney isn't only offering one random Bermuda sailing either.
There will be multiple opportunities aboard the Wish from New York, including itineraries with extra time in Bermuda.
And then we have that special Disney Fantasy Bermuda sailing from Florida too.
Bermuda is officially BACK on Disney Cruise Line.
🚢 #3 – Panama Canal
This is such a bucket-list itinerary.
Fourteen nights aboard the Disney Magic.
A full Panama Canal transit.
New ports.
Plenty of sea days.
And an itinerary that's completely different from your typical Disney cruise.
If you've already done the Bahamas and Caribbean and are wondering, "Okay...what's next?"
This might be your answer.
💡 Why I'm So Excited About This Disney Cruise Line Release
I love Disney Cruise Line.
Give me Castaway Cay and a Caribbean itinerary and I'll happily go.
But what excites me most about this announcement is VARIETY.
We're getting Disney cruises to:
Canada & New England
Bermuda
Panama Canal
Puerto Rico & Southern Caribbean
Mexico
Bahamas & Caribbean
Southeast Asia
California & Texas departures
That's what I want to see.
Disney Cruise Line has an incredible fleet of ships, and getting to experience those ships while actually exploring different parts of the world makes cruising with Disney even more exciting.
📅 When Can You Book Fall 2027 & Spring 2028 Disney Cruises?
Disney Cruise Line is using its usual tiered early-booking schedule, which means returning cruisers and certain eligible Disney members get first access.
Here are the announced dates:
Pearl Castaway Club: August 31, 2026
Platinum Castaway Club: September 1, 2026
Gold Castaway Club: September 2, 2026
Silver Castaway Club: September 3, 2026
Eligible Disney Vacation Club Members & Adventures by Disney Adventure Insiders: September 3, 2026
General Public:September 8, 2026
Booking opens at 8:00 a.m. Eastern Time on the applicable date.
🚨 Why I Wouldn't Wait Too Long to Book the Unique Itineraries
If you're interested in a standard Bahamas or Caribbean itinerary, you'll usually have plenty of dates to choose from.
But some of these?
Not so much.
The Disney Wish is only scheduled for seven New York cruises during this season.
Canada & New England is finally returning after nearly four years.
There are only two Panama Canal repositioning cruises.
Those are exactly the types of itineraries I would expect Disney Cruise Line fans to pay attention to when booking opens.
Cruise pricing can also change as availability changes, so if there's a specific ship, itinerary, stateroom category and date you really want, I'd rather start looking when bookings open than hope the perfect option is still there later.
✨ Which New Disney Cruise Would YOU Choose?
For me, I keep coming back to...
Canada & New England.
I've been waiting three years for it to return, and now you're telling me I can sail from New York on the Disney Wish during fall?!
Take my money.
But Bermuda and the Panama Canal are VERY close behind.
And that's what makes this release so exciting.
Whether you want fall colours instead of palm trees, a pink-sand Bermuda getaway, a two-week bucket-list adventure through the Panama Canal, Disney's private islands, Southern Caribbean ports or a seasonal Halloween or Christmas cruise...
There is something completely different to choose from.
And I'm already ready to start planning.
🚢 Want First Pick When Disney's New Cruises Go on Sale?
If one of these itineraries is calling your name, this is one of those times when planning ahead can really matter, especially for the limited New York, Canada & New England, Bermuda and Panama Canal sailings.
At Magical Moments Travel, I can help you compare the new itineraries, ships, dates and stateroom categories and figure out which sailing makes the most sense for your family.
And if you've never cruised with Disney before, I'll also help you understand the differences between the ships, what's included onboard, dining, kids clubs, port days and all those little Disney Cruise Line details that can feel overwhelming the first time.
Fall 2027 and Spring 2028 bookings open to the general public September 8, 2026, with eligible Castaway Club members and other qualifying guests getting earlier access.
🍁 Canada & New England
🏖️ Bermuda
🚢 Panama Canal
I've waited long enough.
Let's go cruising. 🚢✨
